Who we are

**Our Mission:** Promoting strong, sustainable, and healthy communities through voluntary action.


**About Us:** Derbyshire Dales Council for Voluntary Service (CVS) is a charity based in Bakewell, serving the Dales since 2002.


**What We Do:** We support the voluntary sector with advice, training, and representation, focusing on disadvantaged and rural communities.


**Our Reach:** Supporting 250 member groups.


The role

to join our Board and help steer our organisation into the future. This is a great opportunity to contribute your voice, skills and energy to something meaningful.

  • Fundraising
  • Health / mental health social care
  • ICT / digital strategy
  • Housing

​What to expect:

  • Voluntary role (reasonable expenses reimbursed)
  • 6 Board meetings per year (usually 2.5 hours each), optional 1 x Away Day, Policy Review meetings
  • Meetings held in Bakewell or the local area – with virtual access available
